Violin Faculty · Director
A dedicated violinist and educator, Elena founded El Sistema Syracuse after years of teaching in community programs. She holds degrees in violin performance and music education and believes deeply in music as a tool for opportunity.
Cello Faculty
David is a cellist with an active chamber and orchestral career throughout Central New York. His warm, patient teaching helps students of every level find their voice on the instrument.
Viola Faculty
Sarah brings a decade of studio teaching experience to the program. She specializes in beginning and intermediate players and coaches several of the program's chamber ensembles.

A performer and clinician, Marcus leads the program's audition preparation, guiding students through youth orchestra and conservatory auditions with steady encouragement.

A current conservatory student and program alumna, Priya assists in lessons and mentors younger violinists.
Cello · Teaching Assistant
Jonah supports cello sectionals and chamber coachings, and helps students prepare for their first recitals.
Viola · Teaching Assistant
Amara works one-on-one with beginning violists and coordinates sheet music and instrument loans.

A high-school senior and longtime student of the program, Theo assists in group classes and performance days.
